THE ODD SEED STITCH IS WORKED THE SAME AS THE EVEN SEED STITCH. BY REPEATEDLY KNITTING ONE STITCH AND THEN PURLING ANOTHER, WITH THE DIFFERENCE THAT WHEN CASTING ON AN ODD NUMBER OF STITCHES, ALL ROWS BEGIN THE REPEAT BY KNITTING THE STITCH. THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO PURL THE STITCH WHEN IT’S A KNIT STITCH, AND THE OTHER WAY AROUND. IF ALL ROWS WERE WORKED AS INDICATED BY THE WORK, THAT IS, KNITTING THE KNIT STITCHES AND PURLING THE PURL STITCHES, WE WOULD BE WORKING A RIB STITCH.
